Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with various internal stakeholders and conduct a detailed investigation on various suspected merchants, using multiple internal and external data sources.
- Perform in-depth investigations of merchant setups, including conducting periodic reviews of portfolio, to identify non-compliance with scheme regulations.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to resolve issues related to non-compliance with the card scheme rules.
- Provide timely response to all internal and external queries/requests through Checkout.com’s ticketing system.
- Follow up on pending scheme compliance issues and perform investigations on new and ongoing scheme compliance cases.
- Generate a detailed investigation report, highlighting various risks, its impact and proposed solution.
- Implement new processes/controls to ensure compliance with the scheme regulations.
- Read new changes/amendments to scheme rules and regulations and provide suggestions on updating internal policy/processes in a timely manner.
- Participate in audits of our internal processes, identify gaps and assist in smooth implementation of proposed amendments.
- Maintain an in-depth working knowledge of card scheme rules.
- Conduct training sessions for various teams and share knowledge on overall scheme compliance.
About you:
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance/Statistics/Actuarial/Business or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in e-commerce Payments and Fintech and/or in banking/financial services (risk/compliance department) would be preferred.
- Good understanding of the payment landscape in the Europe region.
- Solution driven approach, with exemplary problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present analysis and recommendations in a succinct manner.
- Ability and willingness to learn and understand various complex payment terminology, gain knowledge with an emphasis on continuous reading about new payment trends.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English. (Ability to communicate in other languages will be a plus)
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and analytic tools will be a plus.
