We move fast, think globally, and believe great teams are built by hiring exceptional people with conviction, curiosity, and the desire to make an impact. With 20 offices across six continents and London as our HQ, we're shaping the future of fintech - and we're just getting started.

There has never been a more exciting time to join Checkout Procurement. We are currently on an ambitious journey of transformation, evolving from a traditional function into a tech-forward, strategic powerhouse. We have recently rolled out a cutting-edge P2P platform (Zip), are scaling a new Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Mauritius, and are aggressively investing in AI and advanced tooling to realise our Vision 2030. This isn't just about managing spend; it's about redefining how a global fintech operates.

As the Global Category Manager for People & Corporate Services, you will own the strategy for the essential services that power our global operations. Beyond category-specific expertise, you will be a core contributor to our wider transformation program - acting as a pioneer in rolling out and testing AI Agents, optimising workflows, and driving data transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead a multi-year global strategy for a diverse portfolio, including Contingent Labour, Facilities Management, Corporate Real Estate, Insurance, and Professional Services.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the People and Chief Operating Officer (COO) teams, ensuring procurement initiatives are seamlessly aligned with our global talent and operational footprint.
  • Play a hands-on role in our transformation roadmap by participating in the deployment of AI Agents, piloting new procurement technologies, and helping shape a data-driven operating model.
  • Collaborate with our new Offshore CoE to streamline tactical execution, allowing you to focus on high-value strategic partnerships and complex problem-solving.
  • Design and manage Tier-1 global partnership programs, moving beyond cost-savings to focus on service excellence, innovation, and scalability.
  • Integrate Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) into the heart of the corporate services lifecycle, ensuring our growth is both fast and resilient.
About You
  • You have deep experience in People-related procurement (HR, MSP/VMS, Contingent Labour) and Corporate Services (Real Estate, Insurance, FM).
  • You are energised by transformation and don't just use tools; you want to test AI, automate workflows, and actively find better ways to work.
  • You have a proven track record of delivering complex, multi-million-pound negotiations and building long-term vendor ecosystems.
  • You are comfortable navigating a high-growth environment and enjoy mentoring junior talent within the local team and the CoE.
  • You are tech-savvy and data-oriented. Experience with modern P2P stacks (experience with Zip is a major plus) is highly valued.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years in Procurement/Strategic Sourcing, with a significant focus on People/Corporate Services categories.
  • Experience working within a procurement transformation program or a high-growth tech environment is essential.
  • MCIPS/FCIPS preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, a "digital-first" approach to problem-solving, and the ability to influence at the COO and Executive level.
