Job Description

This is a fast-paced role designed for high potential people at the start of their public affairs careers. Operating as the ‘right hand’ to the Director of External Affairs, you will assist on a wide range of high-impact global projects. This is a unique opportunity to quickly learn how public affairs can add material value to a high growth global fintech.

What You’ll Do

  • Research: Assist the Director of External Affairs by researching new subjects and drafting tailored summaries, such as analysing the political environment in a new country or monitoring policy developments.
  • Briefing notes: Draft all briefing notes for external engagements, including messaging.
  • Stakeholder mapping and engagement: Prepare stakeholder maps and engagement plans.
  • Strategic response: Assist the Director of External Affairs with special projects.
  • Operations: Ensure the External Affairs team is running smoothly by tracking team metrics and preparing dashboards.

What We Are Looking For

  • 1-2 years working as a parliamentary researcher, an agency account executive, or equivalent.
  • A 2.1 degree from a top university.
  • A practical, solutions-oriented focus and enthusiasm for taking on new challenges.
  • Impeccable written communication.
  • An interest in the finance and technology industries.
