At Checkmate Fire Solutions, we are committed to delivering industry-leading fire safety and compliance services across the UK. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a proactive and experienced SHE Advisor to support and promote a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.
As our SHE Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation while supporting operational teams across multiple sites and projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide practical SHE advice and guidance to managers and employees
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, producing detailed reports and recommendations
- Support the development and implementation of SHE policies and procedures
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety training sessions
- Monitor compliance with UK health & safety legislation and company standards
- Assist with environmental and sustainability initiatives
- Maintain accurate SHE records and documentation
- Promote a strong culture of continuous improvement and safe working practices
About You
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate
- Previous experience in a SHE or Health & Safety Advisor role
- Knowledge and understanding of 45001, 9001 & 14001
- CSCS Card
- Ability to influence and engage teams at all levels
- Experience within construction, fire safety, or engineering environments is advantageous
- Full UK Driving Licence
