What You'll Be Doing

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for passive fire protection projects and wider business opportunities.
  • Support the preparation of large-scale bids and tender submissions.
  • Liaise with clients to fully understand project requirements and scope.
  • Attend site visits, surveys, and pre-contract meetings as required.
  • Work closely with operational teams to understand labour, material, and delivery costs.
  • Develop pricing models and rate schedules for different sectors and environments.
  • Provide operational teams with clear scope definitions and budget parameters to support successful project delivery.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
  • Respond to client queries and provide clarification on quotations.
  • Develop and maintain pricing schedules to support efficient and consistent quoting of smaller works.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and commercial performance.

About You

  • Experience in estimating construction works and applying construction pricing models.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Experience pricing passive fire protection works and fire door projects.
  • Knowledge of passive fire compliance requirements and construction industry standards.
  • Estimating qualification or equivalent qualification to HND level.
