What You'll Be Doing
- Managing a team of Contracts Administrators carrying out regular one‑to‑ones, coaching and supporting them to succeed in role.
- Ensuring PDPs are in place and development needs of the team are met through training.
- Leading and prioritising team workload promoting sharing of knowledge within the team to provide enhanced team working and collaboration.
- Supporting & working closely with operational teams to ensure a high standard of contract set up, smooth delivery and timely handover of projects.
- Provide routine reports and management information as required.
- Delivery of targets, SLAs and KPIs ensuring deadlines are met within agreed timescales.
- Work closely with Head of Contract Support on Strategic Objectives, Team Goals, best practices and streamlined ways of working.
- Office Facility Management, support in all office relating queries and supporting a high standard of Health & Safety within the office environment.
- Attendance of operational and planning meetings.
- Ensure a high standard of record keeping and compliance with Checkmate Way processes and procedures.
About You
- Proven experience in a contracts support, coordination, or an administrative role.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Business Administration.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Confident communicator with strong customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and contract management systems.
- Experience in the fire safety, facilities management, or compliance sector (desirable but not essential).
- Willing to travel as and when required.
