About the role
The Transport Manager will oversee the day-to-day transport operation, working with the transport supervisor ensuring efficient fleet utilisation and full legal compliance. You'll lead a dedicated transport team of circa 15 van drivers and multiple external carriers, driving high standards, safety, and delivery performance across the Active Fire Division.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and continuously improve Checkfire’s and PJ Fire’s transport operations across own-fleet vehicles and external carriers.
- Ensure full compliance with all UK transport legislation, including Operator’s License, driver hours, vehicle maintenance, insurance and Health.
