Location: Worcestershire (just south of Worcester)

Salary Range: circa.50,000 + Benefits (those currently on this remuneration are also encouraged to apply, as flexibility around remuneration is possible)

Company Overview: Manufacturing / Engineering

Role Overview: The Materials Manager will oversee yard, stores, inventory and vehicle movements across our clients UK sites, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in material flow, stock transactions, and warehouse management. This role is pivotal in maintaining our high standards of engineering and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance material flow processes and implement best practices.
  • Lead and manage Team Leaders and Materials Controllers.
  • Develop daily and weekly vehicle movement plans in collaboration with the Logistics Team.
  • Plan and adjust resources based on sales forecasts.
  • Manage inter-site material transfers and stock accuracy.
  • Foster strong ties with Facilities and Quality Teams to optimize equipment effectiveness and material handling.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience with ERP software.
  • Ability to manage up to 50 vehicle movements daily as well as yard and stores.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience in ISO9001 and ISO14001 environments.
  • Strong background in Lean Management and process improvement.
  • Line management expertise, including conflict resolution and team development.
