Our client, a prominent Lloyd’s of London broker, is looking for a dedicated Finance Assistant to become part of their ambitious and expanding team. In this newly established role, you will be essential in supporting the financial operations of the company.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Effectively managing financial records
  • Processing and reconciling premiums and claims efficiently
  • Monitoring client funds in line with CASS regulations
  • Conducting daily reconciliations of bank accounts for our appointed representative
  • Investigating discrepancies related to cash allocations and resolving funding issues
  • Assisting the FD in the preparation of management account data
  • Contributing to the month-end closing process to ensure timely reporting
  • Supporting financial reporting activities to ensure compliance with FCA requirements
  • Overseeing and reviewing employee expense claims for accuracy and policy adherence
  • Assisting with payroll administration tasks

To be considered for this position, you should demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience in a finance-related role, ideally within the insurance or financial services industry
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, with experience in a financial system similar to Xero being advantageous
  • Book-keeping qualifications and a solid understanding of accounting practices
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with teams and clients
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative attitude, enabling you to work well with colleagues across departments
