Job Advert: HR Manager – Component Manufacturing

Location: Coventry
Remuneration: £55,000 to £65,000 basic salary + car
Working Pattern: Hybrid (2 days WFH)
The Role
A well-established manufacturing company based in Coventry is seeking an experienced HR Manager to take ownership of the HR function at their site. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering HR strategies that support operational excellence and business growth. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with a background in component manufacturing or related manufacturing sectors such as automotive or aerospace.
As the site HR Manager, you will be responsible for managing all HR activities on site, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, and fostering a positive workplace culture that drives performance and engagement. You will work autonomously, providing expert HR advice and partnering closely with senior leadership to support the company’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full HR function for the Coventry site, reporting directly to the Managing Director.
- Deliver HR strategies aligned with business goals, focusing on talent management, employee relations, and workforce planning.
- Provide expert advice on employment law, policies, and best practices to managers and employees.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives tailored to manufacturing environments.
- Drive employee engagement and performance management processes to build a motivated and productive workforce.
- Manage HR compliance and maintain accurate records in line with legal and company standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational needs and continuous improvement.
Your Background
- CIPD Level 5 qualification ideally
- Proven HR management experience within component manufacturing or related manufacturing sectors such as automotive or aerospace.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and workforce management.
- Ability to work autonomously and build strong relationships with senior leadership.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable reporting directly to senior management and influencing at all levels.
- Residing within commutable distance to Coventry or willing to relocate.
