As our next Senior Engineer (Salesforce), you'll play a key role in helping us build the UK's go-to home improvement marketplace. You'll sit within our Enterprise Engineering team, who own not only our Salesforce org and critical workflows therein, but the way Salesforce plugs into the rest of our wider stack. This isn't a specialism kept in its own lane; it's one of several strengths you'll bring to integrations, APIs and event-driven architecture across the business. Whilst your focus might be on Apex, LWC and Salesforce DevOps, you’re almost as happy wiring up Typescript services beyond Salesforce. You’re genuinely excited about using AI tooling to build better, faster, without cutting corners on quality.

Forget long lists, here’s what you’ll actually spend your time on:

  • Design, build and maintain high-performance solutions across Apex, LWC and advanced declarative features, primarily across Sales and Service clouds. Also Zuora, Retool, Braze CRM, extending node/Typescript services hosted on Kubernetes on GCP.
  • Using AI coding tools with confidence, to move faster without cutting corners on quality.
  • Architect secure, scalable integrations between Salesforce and other core services, including inbound/outbound REST APIs and platform event-driven workflows.
  • Work alongside distributed engineering and data teams to keep data flowing cleanly and system architecture cohesive, bringing your Salesforce knowledge into the wider engineering conversation.
  • Own and improve deployment pipelines spanning Salesforce and other services, so releases to production are smooth, automated and reliable.
  • Champion code quality across the team: write thorough tests, run solid code reviews, and help others get the best out of AI-assisted development while sharing your Salesforce expertise where it counts most.

It’s not about ticking every box. It’s about turning up curious, ready to crack on. You’ll do well here if you bring:

  • Solid, hands-on professional software engineering experience, including strong Salesforce development across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Salesforce DevOps.
  • A track record of writing clean, asynchronous Apex (triggers, batch, queueable), responsive LWC components and complex Flows, backed by solid general engineering skills beyond the platform.
  • A genuine handle on AI-driven coding methods: you know how to give AI models the right architectural context, schemas and constraints to get accurate, secure, production-ready code out the other end.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise integration patterns (large data volumes, platform events, API error handling) and managing CI/CD pipelines, change management and environment refreshes.

We believe great work deserves great rewards. Here’s just a taste:

  • Competitive salary + annual bonus
  • Employee Share Programme
  • Health, well-being and learning support
  • Gym membership, Smart Tech Scheme and Cycle Scheme
  • Birthday/Special day leave
  • Buy & sell holiday scheme
  • 1 week’s paid charity leave and much more!

How we’ll get to know each other:

  • Screening call with one of our Talent Acquisition Partners
  • 1st stage interview with the hiring manager
  • 2nd Stage interview with Staff Engineer & Senior Salesforce Engineer
  • Final stage interview Product Manager

If this sounds like the place where you can do your best work, we’d love to hear from you, even if you don’t tick every box.

At the moment, this role isn’t open to visa sponsorship applications.
