As our next IT Service Desk Engineer, you’ll be the friendly first point of contact for our people when they need help with their tech. From laptops to logins, video calls to new starters, you’ll make sure everyone has what they need to do their best work.
You’ll join us at an exciting time, with ambitious growth plans and a leadership team that’s all in on building something brilliant and you’ll be right at the heart of it.
Forget long lists. Here’s what you’ll actually spend your time on:
- Providing in-person and remote IT support to our teams at our Lakeside (Portsmouth) office.
- Helping colleagues with everyday tech needs across laptops, systems and collaboration tools.
- Supporting Google Workspace, Okta, Azure, Office 365 and key SaaS platforms.
- Making sure meetings and company-wide events run smoothly using Zoom and Google Meet.
- Managing hardware and assets — from setting up new starters to keeping our inventory organised.
- Solving problems calmly and confidently, even when things feel urgent (or when the Wi-Fi acts up five minutes before a big meeting).
Most importantly, you’ll help create a smooth, professional and stress-free IT experience for everyone, including our senior leadership team. It’s not about ticking every box. It’s about turning up curious, ready to crack on. You’ll do well here if you bring:
- Experience in a 1st or 2nd line IT support role (or a strong foundation you’re ready to build on).
- A people-first mindset you genuinely enjoy helping others.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to investigate and figure things out.
- Clear communication and a calm, friendly approach under pressure.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and Okta (nice to have, not a deal breaker).
- A proactive, eager-to-learn attitude with real ownership of your work.
