This person will take on a pivotal role in driving and guiding our Solution & Product technical vision, programs & strategies centered around technical engagements. The leader will provide insightful leadership for our SE Team and contribute to the success of our business in the ASK region. The objective is to accelerate and guarantee the optimum security of our customers’ digital transformation journey.
The role of Security Engineering Leader for the ASK region is a pivotal position with a significant impact. In the dynamic landscape of cybersecurity, an SE (Security Engineering) leader plays a pivotal role as the driving force behind impactful strategies and initiatives. With a keen understanding of evolving threats and cutting-edge technologies, SE Leaders orchestrate a big splash impact by leading teams, shaping product priorities, and championing security excellence. This influential role leaves a lasting imprint on the organization’s security posture, ensuring it stays resilient in the face of ever-evolving challenges.
The preferred candidate exhibits expertise across a diverse range of enterprise-grade Cyber Security technologies. Additionally, they possess hands-on experience in collaborating with the regional leader to develop engineering programs in the ASK region. Demonstrating a proven track record, they excel in steering go-to-market strategies, building, leading, and coaching teams, and navigating intricate technical and competitive opportunities. This is achieved through advanced competitive knowledge, technical proficiency, and established credibility.
Experience with Check Point Solutions, good understanding on how to effectively translate a customer’s business requirements into an integrated technical solution. Comfortable in managing a regional team and working collaboratively with Sales, Marketing and Management, exercising judgment in developing people, technical requirements, and evaluation criteria. Excellent presentation and engagement skills amongst varied audiences of both business and technology leaders. The incumbent must be just as adept at engaging with the customer’s exec level as when working closely with internal product and engineering teams.
What you will work on:
- Guide, coach, develop and mentor SE teams under the leadership of three Managers/Team Leaders in the ASK region.
- Work to develop the engineering programs & strategies together with the regional director, country manager/s and other stakeholders to drive our go-to-market strategy.
- Identify revenue-impacting support escalations and engage proactively with required parties (internal/external) to ensure timely resolution and satisfactory resolution.
- Take the lead and assist in developing distinctive technical product and solution strategies and presentations.
- Improve the scalability & efficiency of our technical integration and account management process.
- Provide thought leadership both internally and externally, around secure business transformation.
- Represent Check Point as the face of the company at large forums, industry events, IT security events and trade shows and webinars.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, competitive solutions, and products, contributing to the design and education of Check Point’s competitive strategy.
- Provide technical pre-sales assistance for our partners and through our partners to our customers.
- Develop existing and new partners in conjunction with the local sales team.
- Create strategies for responding to RFI’s and RFPs in collaboration with our partners and overseeing Check Point pre-sales activities.
- Engage and communicate with Product Management, Business units, Sales and Marketing.
- Provide guidance and assistance to fellow SEs in conducting Proof-of-Value (POVs) to ensure customer requirements align with their vision of success.
- Proactively engage and communicate with Product Management, Business units, Sales and Marketing.
- Help in driving & closing technical complex and competitive opportunities, through advanced competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
- Work independently and collaboratively with Sales and Management, exercising judgment in developing people, technical requirements, and evaluation criteria.
What you bring:
- Drawing no less than +15 years in direct management of SE managers, SE’s, solutions architects, with a track record of driving customer satisfaction.
- Professional experience in robust engagement and influencing skills applicable to diverse audiences, including C-level executives, Security Architects, Cloud Security Architects, DevOps teams, and software development groups.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with a proven track record in team building and business scalability.
- Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal, with a focus on collaboration and providing constructive feedback to internal engineering teams.
- Customer-facing and outbound-oriented, adept at articulating strategic and tactical concepts to teams involved in security and application modernization, particularly in digital and cloud migration initiatives.
- Demonstrating exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, excellent at mentoring and motivating diverse teams, building trusted relationships with senior management, and navigating cross-functional stakeholders within a matrixed organization.
- Strong organizational skills, thriving in multitasking scenarios while prioritising work streams amidst competing stakeholder demands.
- Capable of engaging in executive-level discussions and seamlessly transitioning to highly technical conversations around solutions and features for technical audiences.
- Proven thought leadership and experience in creating technical content, including track record as a conference and meetup speaker.
- Skilled in facilitation, utilising technology and collaboration tools to gather insights and achieve desired outcomes.
- Proactive self-starter, capable of independently assessing priorities and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
