About The Role
Work as part of the endoscopy team under the coordination of the Endoscopy Nurse in Charge, providing the best possible experience for patients. Participate in the entire pathway from pre‑admission to procedure, recovery and discharge, support CQC and JAG GRS activities and accreditation.
Responsibilities
- Complete clinical tasks and contribute to training of others
- Carry out site intravenous access when admitting patients requesting sedation, when competent
- Ensure the endoscopy list flows smoothly and efficiently, according to CHEC Endoscopy SOP and other policies
- Prepare clinical areas for daily activities
- Participate in CQC and JAG accreditation and continuing competency training requirements through the JETs framework
- Demonstrate passion for patient care with high quality communication skills
- Pay attention to detail and show eagerness and ability to learn
- Demonstrate good listening abilities and logical thought processes
- Work well in a team
Qualifications
- Registered practitioner with the NMC or HCPC
- At least 1 year’s previous experience as registered practitioner or equivalent in an endoscopy service
- Experience with JAG accreditation
- Passion for high quality patient safety and care
- Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience
