We have an exciting opportunity for a new Commercial Finance Manager to support our ambitious growth plans as we continue to expand throughout the UK.
About The Role
The Commercial Finance Manager will be responsible for providing financial insight, business partnering and commercial analysis that drive revenue growth and margin improvement. This is a brand new role for CHEC and there is an opportunity to make a real impact. The role owns customer-level economics, pricing support, and commercial decision analysis, acting as a key partner to Commercial, Contracts and Data. We are looking for someone to be accountable for revenue management across the organisation and business partnering with the Commercial. This role ensures accurate monthly revenue accounting, delivers insightful forecasting analysis, and upholds strong financial controls.
We Are Looking For Someone Who Can
- Work with FP&A to link commercial insights into forecasts and budgets.
- Partner with Commercial under the leadership of the line manager, to contract negotiation, pricing decisions and commercial negotiations.
- Produce regular commercial insight on revenue, margin, churn, and patient behaviour.
- Work with the Commercial and Contracts Teams to understand the performance, forecasts and areas of improvement.
- Responsible for building relationships and managing external stakeholders in tandem with the Contracts and Commercial teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in forecasting, revenue recognition processes and commercial data quality.
- Lead customer profitability, contract economics, and pricing/margin analysis.
- Provide monthly revenue analysis and variance explanations against budget and forecast.
- Support management reporting (e.g., revenue by specialism, customer, contract).
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting for revenue streams.
- Collaborate on KPI dashboards (e.g., debtor days, billing lag, cash conversion).
- Build relationships externally with Customers (ICBs, Trusts and other organisations) to manage the commercials.
- Responsible for understanding NHS Contracting and interpreting them to ensure accuracy of financial management.
