We are looking for a Patient Coordinator to join our team as we expand across the UK.

Main duties of the job:

  • An opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, building relationships and is passionate about providing excellent care to our patients.
  • The role is the first point of contact for patients, taking inbound and making outbound calls about appointments and performing admin duties following established processes.

CHEC has been working with the NHS since 2012 to increase patient choice and provide timely, locally‑based ophthalmology, gastroenterology, ENT and dermatology care at no cost to patients. Our community‑based model expands essential healthcare services across England.

Job responsibilities:

  • Support patients and act as the first point of contact.
  • Maintain high standards of patient care, responding sensitively to emotional or distressed patients.
  • Provide advice on available services.
  • Use empathy, tact and reassurance in all calls.
  • Maintain data quality and patient confidentiality.

What you bring to the role:

  • Natural ability to empathise with patients and demonstrate genuine care.
  • Good communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and other systems.
  • The ability to learn and adapt to new internal systems.
  • Self‑motivated and self‑starter with the ability to prioritise and schedule work independently.
