Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse and wide‑ranging caseload of dermatological conditions in a community setting.
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of dermatological conditions.
  • Utilise dermoscopy to examine and monitor skin lesions.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures including excisions of cysts, moles, skin tags, warts, and lipomas.
  • Educate and counsel patients on treatment plans, medications, and preventative skin care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and clinical documentation in line with GMC guidelines.

Experience

  • Valid inclusion on the GMC Register.
  • MBBS/MBChB or equivalent.
  • Substantial experience in diagnosing and treating dermatology conditions within a hospital setting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of dermatological conditions and current evidence‑based practice guidelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients, recognising the impact of dermatological conditions on their quality of life.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess complex cases, interpret diagnostic results, and devise appropriate treatment plans.
  • Good organisational skills and time‑keeping.
