Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse and wide‑ranging caseload of dermatological conditions in a community setting.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of dermatological conditions.
- Utilise dermoscopy to examine and monitor skin lesions.
- Perform minor surgical procedures including excisions of cysts, moles, skin tags, warts, and lipomas.
- Educate and counsel patients on treatment plans, medications, and preventative skin care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and clinical documentation in line with GMC guidelines.
Experience
- Valid inclusion on the GMC Register.
- MBBS/MBChB or equivalent.
- Substantial experience in diagnosing and treating dermatology conditions within a hospital setting.
- Comprehensive understanding of dermatological conditions and current evidence‑based practice guidelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients, recognising the impact of dermatological conditions on their quality of life.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess complex cases, interpret diagnostic results, and devise appropriate treatment plans.
- Good organisational skills and time‑keeping.
