Blue Arrow is urgently recruiting for a Warehouse Operator (Amazon Dept) to join our client\’s team based in the Baglan area. Paid Weekly!
Rate of pay: £14.05ph inc 15% shift allowance
Hours of work: 6am-6pm shifts: 12 hour day shifts on a 2 week rotating shift pattern (averages out at 42 hours per week)
Shift Pattern:
Week 1: Days Days Off Off Days Days
Week 2: Off Off Days Days Off Off
Contract: Temp to perm after 12 weeks
Main Responsibilities:
- Operating within the warehouse
- Picking, packing and scanning customer goods
- Getting products ready for dispatch
- Load finished goods using manual material handling equipment
- Check load is safe and secure
- Identify and report any product damage or quality deficiencies
- Work closely and in cooperation with the rest of the Day Services and Shift teams
- Carry out any other reasonable request and support the colleagues in case of need
- To ensure a high level of housekeeping of the working area is maintained throughout the shift
- To ensure health & safety rules are adhered to
Requirements:
- Experience using handheld scanners preferred
- Has previous experience working in manufacturing or a warehouse environment
- Experience using ride on powered pump trucks preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Works well in a team and individually
DBS checks will be carried out on day 1 of the assignment and the company offers a NO conviction policy.
