Role Overview
As our Match Day Social Media Co‑ordinator, you will be the voice and eyes of Cheadle Town on game days, which are mainly Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons. You’ll capture the emotion of the match, deliver real‑time updates across multiple platforms, and help amplify our club’s presence online. You’ll work closely with the Commercial Manager, gaining hands‑on experience in sports media and marketing—an ideal stepping‑stone for anyone pursuing a career in the sports industry.

Key Responsibilities
- Live Match Coverage: Post real‑time updates on X throughout the game (goals, key moments, substitutions, injury breaks).
- Content Creation & Posting: Design and publish pre‑match, half‑time, and post‑match graphics and captions for X, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Video Capture & Editing (Bonus): Film key match highlights or player reactions. Edit short-form videos for social media reels/stories.
- Media & Communications Support: Conduct brief on-pitch or mixed‑zone interviews with players and staff. Coordinate with the Commercial Manager to align posts with sponsorship and club announcements.
Requirements
- Availability: Must be able to attend the majority of home and away match days, mostly Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons, North West based games.
- Platform Savvy: Comfortable using X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Canva.
- InDesign, Photoshop (are a bonus)
- Communication: Confident interviewer; able to put players and staff at ease.
- Organised & Reliable: Able to work under tight timelines and meet match‑day deadlines.
- Enthusiasm for Non-League Football: A genuine passion for the sport and our club’s mission.
