About You

We are looking for someone with

  • Atleast a year of experience working to support children’s learning in a relevanteducational setting, experience of speech and language interventions desirable.
  • NVQLevel 2 or 3 for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent).
  • Literacyand numeracy skills equivalent to NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths.
  • Fullworking knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice.
  • Anunderstanding of curriculum matters and to be able to contribute effectively tocurriculum development, planning, evaluation and implementation.
  • Indepth understanding of areas of learning, e. g. English, maths, science, SEND or Early Years.
  • Understandingof principles of child development and learning processes.
  • Abilityto plan effective actions for pupils at risk of underachieving.
  • Effectiveuse of ICT to support learning.
  • Well-developedinterpersonal skills to be able to relate well to a wide range of people.
  • Workconstructively as part of a team whilst being able to demonstrate initiative.
  • Goodcommunication skills.
