We are seeking an inspiring and proactive Strength & Conditioning Coach to play a central role in our Elite Sport Pathway and wider sports provision at Cheadle Hulme School. This is a unique opportunity to shape the physical development of high-performing young athletes while delivering elements of our BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and contributing to Games and PE lessons.
Working closely with the Director of Sport and Head of Elite Performance, you will lead on designing and delivering bespoke S&C programmes for students across a range of sports and athletic levels, including injury rehabilitation support. The successful candidate will also play a key role in our co-curricular and High Performing Programme (HPP) provision, with regular contact time built into a two-week timetable (see below for details).
What we’re looking for:
- A sport-related degree and recognised S&C qualifications
- Experience delivering S&C programmes to elite youth athletes
- Confidence writing sport-specific programming across varied abilities
- Ability to support athlete development, injury prevention and rehabilitation
- Previous experience in video analysis and coaching in one or more core sports (e.g. rugby, football, netball, hockey, cricket)
- Strong teaching, mentoring, and interpersonal skills
You’ll deliver S&C coaching during early mornings, lunchtimes and afternoons in line with co-curricular and Elite Sport Pathway commitments:
