Cheadle Hulme School is seeking to appoint a highly organised and professional PA to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Senior Deputy Head and the Pastoral Leadership Team. This is a full‐year role offered on a fixed‐term basis for one year.

This is a key role within the School, supporting the smooth running of a wide range of pastoral systems that underpin student wellbeing, safeguarding and the wider life of the School. The successful candidate will play an important part in ensuring that the pastoral team is well supported and that key processes and records are maintained to the highest standard.

The role involves providing proactive and confidential administrative support, including diary management, organising meetings, taking minutes, drafting correspondence and managing the pastoral leadership team diaries. The post‐holder will also support a number of important pastoral systems and processes, including the administration of recognition and conduct, detentions and assemblies, as well as maintaining records relating to pastoral and safeguarding matters.

Working closely with the Senior Deputy Head and the wider pastoral team, the role also involves liaising with Heads of School, Heads of Year, Student Managers and the Designated Safeguarding Lead, supporting pastoral staff induction and assisting with the coordination of safeguarding training. The post‐holder will regularly liaise with staff, students, parents and external agencies and will therefore need to demonstrate professionalism, discretion and excellent communication skills at all times.

The successful candidate will be a confident administrator with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload in a busy environment. You will have strong attention to detail, excellent IT skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in a similar administrative or PA role is desirable, particularly within an educational setting.

We want to attract and retain the best, provide them with encouragement and ensure they feel valued as an integral part of the School community. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, excellent facilities and IT resources and a friendly and supportive working environment.
