We are seeking two reliable, enthusiastic, and confident Learning Support Assistants to join our team at Cheadle Hulme High School. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in education, whether you're considering a career in teaching or already have experience working with young people.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for acting as a keyworker for students with SEND in order to support their progress throughout school. If you would like to join our Laurus family in a rewarding role that changes the lives of our pupils by empowering them to become the best that they can be, then we would love to hear from you. We have two roles available contracted up to 31 hours per week on a Term Time Only basis. We have a Permanent and Fixed-Term role available; please specify in the additional questions section which role you are applying for.

Job Purpose

  • Support identified students within the classroom environment, within small group situations.
  • Work with teachers to enhance student progress, whilst also promoting their independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Sound educational background including GCSEs in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a school environment would be advantageous.
  • Ideally possess prior experience within a similar role.
