About the Role:
As a Wellbeing Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through meaningful activities and social connections. Whether it’s sharing stories over a cuppa, painting nails, leading a gentle exercise session, or planning a themed party – no two days are ever the same! You’ll spend time getting to know each resident on a personal level, understanding their likes, dislikes, hobbies and history, to create tailored, person-centred experiences that truly make a difference.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Planning and delivering a wide range of engaging group and 1-to-1 activities
- Creating weekly and monthly activity timetables for residents and families
- Organising outings, community visits and themed events
- Supporting with light exercise sessions, games, arts & crafts, gardening, and more
- Regularly reviewing and updating activity programmes to ensure they remain fun, fresh and stimulating
- Keeping accurate records of participation and engagement
- Building strong relationships with residents, families, and the wider community to promote inclusion and wellbeing
Activities May Include:
- Bingo, board games, puzzles, sing-alongs
- Gardening, knitting, arts & crafts
- Shopping trips, reading groups, birthday parties
- Nature walks, newspaper discussions, light fitness sessions
What You’ll Need:
- A caring, reliable and upbeat attitude
- Great communication skills and fluent spoken/written English
- A passion for working with older or vulnerable adults
- Creativity, flexibility, and a proactive approach to planning activities
- A Full UK Driver’s Licence is preferred but not essential
- Previous experience in a similar role is a bonus – but full training is provided
- Care Assistants with a background in activities are also encouraged to apply!
