The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 £ per year.

In this role, you will be trusted to keep our kitchen running safely and smoothly, ensuring patients receive nutritious meals in a clean and welcoming environment. You will work closely with cooks and other colleagues to support daily food preparation and maintain high hygiene standards. Your work will help create a safe space for patients and staff, supporting their wellbeing through reliable, well-organised meal services. You will be part of a friendly team where good communication and teamwork are central to how we work.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the cook with basic meal preparation and safe food service.
  • Keep kitchen areas clean, tidy and well organised in line with food safety rules.
  • Wash dishes, manage cleaning duties and complete cleaning records.
  • Help with menu orders, meal trolleys and stocking beverage bays.
  • Use kitchen equipment safely and report any issues straight away.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Food Hygiene Level 2 (or equivalent).
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to organise your work and manage busy periods.
  • A flexible, supportive approach to working in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience in kitchens or hospitality, or transferable skills.
