Salary: £42,000 per annum
Working pattern: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday (6.30/7am - 3.00/3.30pm with occasional overtime for evening events)

About this role: We are looking for a passionate and organised Sous Chef to support the day-to-day running of a busy café and hospitality operation. This role involves preparing fresh food for the café service as well as delivering hospitality events including sandwiches, canapés and buffets. The site handles around 100 café transactions daily, alongside hospitality catering for up to 150 covers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support two Kitchen Porters, working closely with the Head Chef and Hospitality Sous Chef.
- Help run the daily kitchen operation, serving up to 150 covers per day.
- Monitor stock levels, order ingredients, and manage inventory to minimise waste.
- Support the Head Chef with menu planning and preparation for a busy catering environment.
- Oversee daily food preparation, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining high standards.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and fully compliant with health and safety standards.
- Assist with new menu ideas and dishes.
- Support food cost control and kitchen budgets.
