Location: Oldham - OL2 6JG
Rate of pay: £35,000 per annum
Working pattern: 40 hours per week, Mon - Fri, 07:00 - 15:30 (occasional Sundays for cover)
Key responsibilities
- Managing a team of 4 to provide busy breakfast and lunch service.
- Responsible for all aspects of H&S, quality, as well as achieving commercial targets.
- Ensure consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and timely service for up to approx. 150 covers per day, canteen style service.
- Develop and plan menus in line with seasonal availability, customer preferences, and budgetary guidelines, while maintaining variety, nutritional balance, and cost control.
- Manage staff rotas and scheduling, ensuring appropriate coverage across all services and monitoring working hours to comply with labour regulations and operational needs.
- Conduct regular stock takes and maintain stock levels, placing timely orders, minimising waste, and ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team through regular meetings and clear, timely updates to ensure alignment on daily operations, service expectations, and kitchen priorities.
