The Health, Safety and Food Hygiene Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in our Central Production Kitchen in Wimbledon. The role is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving health, safety, and food hygiene standards across three sites, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, company policies, and industry best practice.

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Conducting inspections and audits
  • Updating and maintaining documentation
  • Training and coaching team members on safe working practices and food handling
  • Supporting incident investigations and corrective actions

The manager collaborates with operations and culinary teams to embed safe systems of work, drive high standards in food service, and promote a safety-first culture. The role also involves engaging with clients and customers to support food safety communication, allergen management, and overall customer confidence in the service.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Food Service operations, particularly CPUs, including collaboration with culinary and front-of-house teams to embed safety and hygiene best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of Food Safety and Food Hygiene regulations, including HACCP principles and allergen management.
  • Vehicle health and safety management.
  • Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) and advanced food hygiene certification.
  • Proven experience in a similar health, safety, or food hygiene management role within catering, hospitality, or food production.
  • Strong communication, training, and coaching skills, with the ability to influence and build a positive safety culture.
  • Excellent record-keeping, audit, and reporting skills, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk management.
