We're looking for a confident and experienced Chef to join the team at Rosewell House on a part-time basis, covering weekend shifts. This role is ideal for someone who is happy to take the lead in the kitchen, as you'll be acting as Chef in Charge during weekends, in the absence of the Chef Manager.

You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals within a healthcare setting, ensuring smooth kitchen operations, excellent standards, and a positive dining experience for residents.

What you'll be doing:

  • Preparing and serving fresh, high-quality meals that enhance the customer experience
  • Taking responsibility for the kitchen during weekend shifts, leading from the front
  • Supporting menu changes and contributing ideas for new dishes and concepts
  • Monitoring stock levels and ensuring the kitchen is well organised and supplied
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
  • Acting on feedback to continuously improve food and service delivery
  • Ensuring full compliance with Food Safety, Hygiene, and Health & Safety regulations

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in a similar Chef role, with confidence working independently
  • Previous experience supervising or leading a team
  • Passion for great food and delivering excellent service
  • Relevant catering qualifications (City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent)
  • Food Hygiene certification
  • A flexible, reliable approach and the ability to step up and take ownership
