This is a Hybrid role, working with Compass Group brands and CH&CO stakeholders.

About This Role

Lead the delivery of innovative front-of-house technology solutions across Compass Group brands, enhancing customer experience, improving operational efficiency, and supporting business growth.

Working closely with operational and technology teams, you'll drive the adoption of EPOS, mobile apps, kiosks, digital ordering, loyalty platforms, AI solutions, and other emerging technologies.

This hybrid role involves regular site and client visits, supporting business transformation, client engagement, and technology-led growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer and Client Satisfaction
  • Partner with Brand Directors, Operations Directors and Regional Managers to understand business challenges and identify technology opportunities.
  • Act as the primary technology advisor for assigned brands.
  • Ensure front-of-house technologies deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Support client meetings, reviews and presentations.
  • Work closely with the retention team to ensure Compass remains competitive and delivers market-leading technology solutions.
  • Market Leadership
  • Monitor market trends and emerging hospitality technologies.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology partners and suppliers.
  • Maintain awareness of developments across EPOS, mobile ordering, kiosks, loyalty, digital signage, AI solutions and customer engagement technologies.
  • Support bids, tenders and growth opportunities through technology consultation and presentations.
  • Champion data-driven technology decisions aligned to business objectives.

  • Lead technology projects and deployments across assigned brands.
  • Support transformation programmes and operational change initiatives.
  • Work with Security, PCI, Infrastructure, Networking and Deployment teams to ensure standards are maintained.
  • Ensure technologies integrate effectively with client or Compass-managed networks.
  • Support rollout and optimisation of EPOS, Apps, Kiosks and digital customer journeys.
  • Utilise data and reporting to drive continuous business improvement.
  • Support vendors and suppliers through governance and performance management processes.
  • Use project and task management tools, including Monday. com, to manage initiatives and priorities.
  • Health & Safety
  • Comply with Compass Group Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times.

Ensure safe working practices during site visits and deployments.

  • Report hazards, incidents and risks promptly.
  • Support colleagues and suppliers in maintaining safe working environments.
  • Follow all client site safety requirements during installations and project activities.

Experience

  • Proven experience in hospitality, retail or food service technology.
  • Strong understanding of EPOS platforms and payment technologies.
  • Experience of mobile applications, customer ordering platforms and loyalty solutions.
  • Experience delivering kiosk and self-service solutions.
  • Experience working with client-managed and self-deployed network environments.
  • Experience managing technology projects and deployments.
  • Experience engaging with operational stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience presenting technology solutions to internal and external clients.
  • Knowledge
  • Understanding of front-of-house technology ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of network fundamentals and connectivity requirements.
  • Understanding of data security and PCI compliance principles.
  • Strong appreciation of customer experience and operational workflows.
