The driver is responsible for safely transporting food and equipment, ensuring timely, accurate deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. Key duties include:
- Safe Transportation & Logistics: Transporting food and equipment to clients, ensuring items are secured to prevent damage or spills.
- Loading/Unloading: Handling delicate or heavy items, ensuring orders are loaded in an organized manner based on the delivery route.
- Customer Service & Delivery: Delivering items to clients on time, interacting professionally, managing client expectations, and potentially setting up food displays.
- Food Safety & Hygiene: Ensuring food is kept at appropriate temperatures (e.g., in hot or cold boxes) and maintaining a clean vehicle.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conducting daily vehicle inspections, reporting faults, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness.
- Documentation & Accuracy: Recording, checking, and updating delivery logs, invoices, and ensuring order accuracy.
- Navigation & Time Management: Planning efficient routes, using GPS, and managing time to meet strict delivery schedules.
