We are looking for a Sheet Metal Worker (SMW) to join our team at CHC Helicopter. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the SMW Mechanic will be part of our strong professional maintenance team, committed to continual improvement meeting/exceeding tight deadlines in a fast paced and dynamic environment. The team are responsible for delivering our multi-type fleet of Helicopters to the flight line to help our customers achieve their goals.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Experience of Rotary wing aircraft preferably within the Oil and gas environment, although other types and relative industry experience will be considered.
- Experienced at carrying out Sheet metal work repairs to exacting Aviation standards, preferably in the rotary wing environment.
- Experience of working with and ability to interpret engineering drawings, repair schemes and structural repair manuals.
- Able to work as part of a team or under own initiative, within a dynamic Part 145 Base maintenance environment.
- An awareness of MSDS and COSHH requirements.
- Knowledge and understanding of aviation regulations, policies and environment.
- Be computer literate – experience of AMOS MRO software is preferred but not essential.
- Good Communications skills, both verbal and written.
- The ability to work well within a high performing team.
Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK.
Candidates will also be required topass Psychometric evaluations and be able to pass a UK security background check and a disclosure Scotland check required to obtain an airport security pass.
