Job Profile Summary

We are looking for an experienced Project PMO (Project Management Office) to join the Centralised PMO team and support the Finance Transformation Programme.

The role reports directly to the PMO Manager with a dotted line to the Senior Change Manager overseeing FT25 delivery. Responsibilities include supporting the FT25 Programme in a PM/PMO capacity, ensuring adherence to the Change Policy and Chaucer Project Delivery Framework. The candidate will collate, analyze, and report on activities, milestones, and risks across the Strategic, Operations, and Technology project portfolios, ensuring project managers meet reporting, deliverables, and milestone commitments. Additionally, the role involves supporting larger programs with scheduling, minuting meetings, and enhancing project governance and reporting capabilities through Planview to ensure effective monitoring and QA across FT25.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Provide project management and delivery support to the FT25 programme.
  2. Ensure compliance with the Project Delivery Framework processes and procedures.
  3. Maintain adherence to all related standards and the Change Policy.
  4. Manage day-to-day PMO governance activities: financial control, reporting, planning, RAID management, etc.
  5. Coordinate report production for Board packs and committees.
  6. Collaborate with the Senior Change Manager to ensure consistent and effective reporting.
  7. Identify and monitor cross-project dependencies.
  8. Schedule and minuting of key meetings and workshops.
  9. Maintain the FT25 programme document repository in SharePoint.
  10. Support internal audits and external assurance reviews by providing artefacts and liaising with relevant parties.
  11. Assist CIO and CTG leadership in maintaining communication channels (intranet, newsletters, town halls).

Skills and Competencies

  • Experience delivering Finance Change/Transformation in the Insurance Industry.
  • Knowledge of project/programme environments, tools, and best practices.
  • Ability to support multiple programmes/projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organized, capable of working under pressure.
  • Experience with various project management methodologies: Agile (including Scaled Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall (Prince).
  • Structured, logical thinker with good planning and organizational skills.
  • Quality-driven, constantly seeking improvements.
  • Proficient with project management tools and Office suite (Project, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Attention to detail and effective communication at all levels.
  • Ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships.
  • Flexible, resilient, and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Supportive and inclusive team player.

Education and Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management Qualification (PRINCE II, APM, PMI, or ISEB) – essential.
  • Experience with Agile project management.
  • ITIL Service Management certification.
  • CII Certificate in Insurance.
