GVC is supporting a modern RCVS Tier 2 Accredited Veterinary Hospital in Somerset that’s looking to welcome a Veterinary Surgeon on a full-time basis, with flexible working available. This is a progressive, collaborative hospital environment with separate facilities for dogs, cats and small mammals, and a strong focus on patient welfare and client care. You’ll be joining an experienced clinical team that includes certificate holders and an Advanced Practitioner, creating a great setting for shared case management and ongoing development.
This role is centred on delivering high-quality first-opinion GP care with the support and tools to work cases up properly. You’ll be expected to:
- Manage a varied GP caseload across routine, preventative, medical and surgical presentations
- Apply consistent clinical standards and contribute to excellent client communication and continuity of care
- Collaborate with an experienced veterinary and nursing team on work-ups and treatment plans
- Make full use of on-site diagnostics to support confident decision-making, including CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, digital and dental radiography, and an in-house laboratory
- Contribute positively to a supportive clinical culture and shared responsibility for standards and outcomes
The practice is seeking a confident GP vet with 4+ years of UK experience.
Salary: £50,000–£75,000 DOE
Flexible rota patterns, including a 4-day week option and 1 in 6 weekends.
