Lead RVN – Independent Practice, No OOH, No Sundays – South West London – £34,000–£38,000 DOE

A wonderful opportunity for an experienced RVN to step into a genuine leadership role at a calm, values-led independent practice in South West London — with real influence and no out-of-hours.

About the Practice

This independent small animal practice in Wandsworth is built around a clear philosophy: do things properly, keep things calm, and make veterinary care feel genuinely human — for patients, clients and the team delivering it. It is growing thoughtfully, with a kind and ambitious team that values quality over scale.

This is a practice where your voice matters and where the Lead RVN will play a central role in shaping clinical culture as the team develops.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position working 41 hours per week, with a start date of August 2026 (flexible). There is no out-of-hours and no Sunday working.

As Lead RVN, you'll be the clinical anchor of the nursing team — working hands‑on across consults, theatre, prep, diagnostics and patient care, while also taking ownership of standards, mentorship and the smooth running of the day.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Anaesthesia monitoring and patient safety
  • Surgical prep, theatre and in‑patient care
  • Nurse clinics and preventative healthcare
  • Supporting diagnostics and procedures
  • Mentoring VCAs and supporting team development
  • Maintaining high clinical standards and keeping the day organised
  • Building trusted, lasting client relationships

What They're Looking For

They are looking for a qualified RVN with strong clinical foundations and a genuine desire to lead and develop others. The ideal candidate will be calm, organised and kind — someone who communicates clearly, takes pride in doing things properly and wants to help shape a growing independent practice from the inside.

What They Can Offer You

  • Salary £34,000–£38,000 DOE
  • No out-of-hours, no Sundays
  • 5 weeks holiday plus your birthday off
  • Private health insurance
  • Generous CPD support
  • Company pension
  • Staff discounts
  • A calm, clean, well‑organised practice with a team that genuinely values your input

How to Apply

If you're an RVN looking for real leadership, real influence and a practice that does things differently — this is a conversation well worth having.
