Registered Veterinary Nurse – Brand New Clinic

Hours: 4 days per week
Weekends: 1 in 6 weekends at a nearby 24-hour hospital

GVC are delighted to be assisting with the opening of a brand-new veterinary clinic in South East London, due to open at the end of November.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an RVN who wants more than just a nursing role. You'll be joining at the very beginning and will have the chance to help shape the culture, processes and development of a new practice from day one.
The clinic will offer modern, purpose-built facilities, located on the ground floor of a new residential development. The team is expected to grow into a 2–3 vet practice, creating a close-knit environment where your contribution will genuinely make a difference.
You'll also have the support of an experienced branch partner with another successful local practice and an excellent track record of staff retention.
The role
You'll work 4 days per week, with a 1 in 6 weekend rota based at a nearby 24-hour hospital. There are excellent opportunities to develop your nursing skills, take ownership of areas you're passionate about and help establish the new clinic as it grows.
Typically, you'll:
- Deliver exceptional patient care, including nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities
- Support veterinary consultations, surgeries and procedures
- Monitor patients and manage admissions and discharges
- Provide outstanding client care and build strong client relationships
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team
- Help develop and improve processes within the new practice
- Contribute to building a positive, supportive team culture
About you
We're looking for an RVN with at least one year's experience who is excited by the opportunity to be part of a brand-new practice.
You’ll ideally be:
- A Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
- Passionate about delivering exceptional patient and client care
- Organised, proactive and keen to improve processes
- Excited by the opportunity to help build and develop a practice
- A supportive team player who enjoys helping colleagues succeed
- Confident working independently while also enjoying being part of a growing team
