Veterinary Surgeon - Brand-New Luxury Clinic - South East London - Up to £75,000

GVC is delighted to be supporting an independent veterinary group with the recruitment of an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon for a stunning new practice opening this summer in South East London.

This is a rare opportunity to join a brand-new, purpose-built clinic where every detail has been carefully designed to create an exceptional working environment.

Think premium facilities, cutting‑edge equipment, spacious consulting rooms and a beautifully designed practice that prioritises both patient care and team wellbeing.

You’ll become part of a supportive 3–4 vet team, backed by experienced clinical leadership, a dedicated nursing team and an experienced Practice Manager who will ensure you have everything you need to succeed from day one.

The Role

Your induction has been carefully planned to ensure a smooth transition into the team.

  • 5-day working week for approximately 6 weeks during induction
  • Transition to a permanent 4-day working week
  • Shared weekend rota (typically 1 in 3 Saturdays and 1 in 9 Sundays, although this may vary)
  • No out-of-hours
  • No on‑call responsibilities
  • Start date: ASAP, ahead of the clinic opening on 20th August 2026
  • What You’ll Be Doing

As an experienced first‑opinion Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll enjoy a varied caseload including consultations and routine surgery while delivering an exceptional level of client and patient care.

  • Providing high‑quality first‑opinion consultations
  • Performing routine soft tissue surgery

About You

We’re looking for a confident and personable Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.

  • Minimum 3 years’ UK small animal experience
  • Confidence with routine consultations and surgery
  • Excellent communication and client care skills A proactive and team‑focused approach
  • Passion for delivering outstanding clinical care
