GVC are delighted to be supporting a well-established, purpose-built practice in North London, in the search for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with leadership, helping to shape the future of a thriving practice while working alongside an experienced and supportive team.

As Lead Vet, you\'ll play a key role in driving clinical excellence, mentoring colleagues, and working closely with the Practice Manager to support the continued growth and success of the practice.

The Practice

This modern, purpose-built practice is fully equipped with:

  • Digital X-ray
  • Ultrasound
  • Dental suite
  • In-house laboratory
  • Varied first-opinion caseload
  • Loyal and established client base

You'll be supported by an experienced nursing and reception team, with seamless access to nearby 24-hour hospitals for referrals, advanced imaging, and OOH support.

The Role

This position is ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon with 4+ years\' UK experience who enjoys both clinical work and mentoring others.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing the clinical team
  • Delivering outstanding patient and client care
  • Performing routine surgery and consultations
  • Managing medical and surgical cases
  • Maintaining high clinical standards and regulatory compliance
  • Working with the Practice Manager to support practice growth and performance

About You

  • MRCVS registered
  • Minimum 4 years\' UK small animal experience
  • Confident in routine surgery and consultations
