Part Time Registered Veterinary Nurse Weekends Only | Independent Hospital | NW London

GVC are supporting a progressive, independent small animal hospital in NW London who are looking to add an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to their weekend team. This is a really lovely opportunity for an RVN looking for a part-time hospital role, working within a supportive and experienced clinical team and gaining exposure to a varied caseload across a busy hospital environment.

The role would suit an RVN who enjoys inpatient care, anaesthesia, surgery and emergency nursing, as well as someone who is confident working alongside vets, students and the wider hospital team. There is also a strong focus on training and development, with opportunities to support veterinary and student nurses and further develop your own clinical skills.

The Role

You’ll be joining a busy hospital team providing high-quality nursing care across a varied small animal caseload. The role will include:

  • Inpatient and post-operative nursing
  • Anaesthesia and surgical nursing
  • Emergency medicine and patient care
  • Supporting clinicians with day-to-day hospital management
  • Providing excellent, compassionate patient care
  • Supporting and supervising veterinary students and student nurses
  • Clinical coaching where appropriate
  • Working closely with vets, nurses and the wider hospital team
  • Maintaining high standards of clinical care and hospital protocols

Further training and development will be provided, with regular in-house training and access to CPD opportunities.

About You

We’re looking for a confident, fully RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working in a hospital environment and takes pride in delivering high standards of patient care. You’ll ideally have experience in:

  • Anaesthesia & surgical nursing
  • Inpatient and post-operative care
  • Emergency medicine
  • Internal medicine
  • Working within a busy clinical environment
  • Supporting or coaching student nurses

You’ll need to be calm under pressure, organised and a good team player, with the confidence to work alongside clinicians, students and other members of the hospital team.
