Head Veterinary Nurse – Liverpool
Salary: Competitive DOE | Contract: 12-Month Maternity Cover | Hours: Full Time
Are you an experienced RVN ready to take the next step into a leadership role? This could be a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive small animal team in Liverpool as Head Veterinary Nurse, providing clinical leadership while helping to develop and inspire the wider nursing team.
The Role
- Full-time, 12-month fixed-term maternity cover
- Monday to Friday, with a mix of early and late shifts
- Relatively flexible working hours
- 1 in 8 full weekends
- Just 2 weeks of on-call per year
- 1 Bank Holiday per year
- Lead and support the nursing team clinically
- Nurse-led consultations and Schedule 3 procedures
- Support with consultations, surgery and procedures
- Patient monitoring, inpatient care, admissions and discharges
- Help develop, mentor and inspire colleagues
- Maintain high standards of clinical care and regulatory compliance
About You
We're looking for an RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse who is confident in a leadership position and enjoys getting the best out of those around them.
You’ll ideally have previous leadership or senior nursing experience, but applications are welcomed from Nurses who are ready to take the next step and develop their leadership skills.
