An outstanding opportunity for an experienced Surgical Veterinary Surgeon or RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Surgery or Orthopaedics to take a leading role in a progressive, well-equipped veterinary hospital β shaping and developing a surgical service with real scope for growth.
About the Practice
This progressive, forward-thinking practice operates from a main veterinary hospital supported by seven branch practices, all working together to deliver the highest standards of patient care. The hospital has an excellent clinical reputation and continually invests in its people, facilities and equipment β including an on-site CT scanner β giving the surgical team everything they need to manage a varied and rewarding caseload.
The team is experienced, collaborative and genuinely ambitious β with a strong multidisciplinary ethos and a real commitment to developing clinical expertise at every level.
About the Role
This is a permanent position available full or part-time, combining advanced surgical and orthopaedic clinical work with genuine leadership responsibility. You'll be the driving force behind the development of the surgical service β working alongside a skilled team and helping shape its future direction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing the surgical and orthopaedic offering
- Managing a varied and complex surgical and orthopaedic caseload
- Working collaboratively with a skilled multidisciplinary team
- Mentoring and supporting colleagues to develop clinical expertise across the practice
- Contributing to the strategic direction of the surgical service
