Veterinary Surgeon β Full-Time | Excellent Work-Life Balance

The Role
This full-time position offers an excellent rota designed with wellbeing in mind.
- Full-time hours condensed into a 3-day working week
- Working hours of 8:30am β 7:00pm
- Consultation schedule designed to allow time for clinical admin before the end of the day
- One weekday on-call shift every two weeks
- 1 in 4 Saturday mornings, finishing at midday
- Dedicated emergency cover for Saturday afternoons
- Structured daily rota with separate responsibilities for surgery, consultations and inpatient care
- Protected lunch breaks and dedicated time for case discussions and client communications
About You
We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be confident with routine consultations and medical work-ups
- Perform routine surgical procedures independentlyBe comfortable with occasional sole charge and out-of-hours responsibilities
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
The Practice
You'll be joining a modern, well-equipped practice that continues to invest in both its facilities and its people.
Facilities include:
- Separate waiting and consulting areas to reduce patient stress
- Dedicated wards for dogs, cats and exotic species
- Spacious clinical areas designed to support efficient workflows
- Ongoing investment in advanced diagnostic equipment and surgical facilities
Supported by an experienced team of Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs and Veterinary Care Assistants, you'll always have excellent clinical and nursing support throughout the day. Overnight on-call shifts are supported by an answering service to minimise unnecessary call-outs, with comfortable on-site accommodation available when required.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary from Β£45,000 to Β£65,000 depending on experience
- 6.6 weeks' annual leave including bank holidays
