Experienced vet leader wanted for a well-equipped, busy first-opinion practice in a thriving market town (East Midlands). Mentor a stable team and drive clinical standards.
You’ll be the senior clinician on site, setting the tone for clinical quality, patient outcomes and client experience. This is a hands-on leadership role with scope to shape how the practice works day-to-day, supporting case management, clinical governance, coaching/mentoring, and confident decision-making on more complex medical/surgical cases.
You’ll suit this if you:
- Are an RCVS-registered veterinary surgeon with strong first-opinion experience
- Enjoy leading by example clinically, including confident routine surgery (and ideally more advanced soft-tissue surgery)
- Have a track record of mentoring vets/nurses and building capability in others
- Are comfortable handling clinical complaints professionally and improving standards through audits/QI
- Bring calm, clear communication and a practical approach to team leadership
Working pattern:
- Full-time 40 hours over 4 days (part-time considered)
- Shared Saturday rota:(09:00–12:00) with time back in lieu
- No out-of-hours / no on-call
