Veterinary Surgeon – Hospital | 12-Month FTC

Salary: £62,000–£65,000 DOE | Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term | Hours: Full Time

Looking for a hospital-based Veterinary Surgeon role with a varied caseload and excellent clinical support? This could be a fantastic opportunity to join a busy small animal hospital within a well-established veterinary group.

The Role

  • 12-month fixed-term contract
  • Full-time – averaging 40 hours per week
  • £62,000–£65,000 DOE
  • Mix of day shifts 7:30am–5:30pm and twilight shifts 4pm–midnight
  • Weekend rota with time off in lieu
  • Primarily hospital-based, caring for inpatients
  • Some sole charge required, so previous experience is essential
  • Varied caseload with excellent opportunities for clinical development

The Hospital

You’ll be joining a Tier 3 hospital with an in-house referral team and dedicated out-of-hours service, supported by excellent facilities including:

  • CT scanner
  • Doppler echocardiography
  • Endoscopy
  • Digital X-ray and ultrasound
  • Dental radiography
  • Laparoscopy and electrocautery
  • Advanced anaesthesia equipment
