Head Registered Veterinary Nurse
My client is on the look out for anenthusiastic and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to take on a varied and rewarding role as Head RVN within a busy first-opinion veterinary hospital.
Working alongside a large team of experienced veterinary professionals and support staff, you’ll play a key role in leading the nursing team while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and clinical excellence. The hospital is well-equipped with modern diagnostic and surgical facilities, providing an excellent environment to deliver high-quality care.
As Head RVN, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the nursing team, promoting professional development, and ensuring exceptional nursing standards are maintained across all areas of the practice.
The Ideal Candidate
They are looking for someone who is passionate about clinical excellence and enjoys mentoring and developing others. Experience as a Clinical Coach, or a willingness to undertake this role, would be advantageous. You’ll enjoy a varied workload including:
- Patient care
- Surgical nursing
- Inpatient and critical care
- Laboratory work
- Supporting and developing ACA, SVN and RVN colleagues
The Role
- 37.5 hours per week, worked over 4 or 5 days
- Shifts between 7:00am and 10:00pm
- 1 in 8 weekend rota with time off in lieu
- No routine out-of-hours
- 1–2 Bank Holidays per year
- Salary: £32,000–£38,000, depending on experience
