We have an exciting opportunity for a Risk and Compliance Assistant to join our Risk and Compliance Team, based at our Newark office. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in an administrative role, with excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work accurately and thoroughly in a fast‑paced environment.
Location: Newark
Department: Risk and Compliance Department
Hours: 9am – 5.15pm Monday to Friday
Salary: Depending on Experience
Key Responsibilities:
- General compliance administration and tasks.
- Completing file opening tasks.
- Completing the AML E-ID checks so the company is compliant with the anti-money laundering regulations.
- Checking outstanding ID and liaising with Fee Earners to improve compliance.
- Keeping records up to date and accurate.
- Maintaining detailed logs with evidence.
- Organising training and maintaining records.
Candidate Profile:
- Good grades at GCSE and A Level.
- High level of competency in using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Degree.
- Relevant experience within Legal or Financial Services.
- Driving Licence and transport as some travel will be required to other offices subject to suitable insurance cover.
- Clear understanding of confidentiality/Data Protection.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on delivery capability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to quickly establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capability.
- Able to work with diplomacy and assertiveness.
- Discrete with the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
- Flexible and willing/able to travel to all offices.
