Due to our continued success and growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Case Management Developer to join our ICT Team. This role can be based at any of our eight offices or undertaken remotely.

We are seeking an individual with experience of working with case management systems (such as SOS and Visualfiles). A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience is desirable, and a genuine interest in legal technology and supporting the firm’s digital systems is essential.

The successful candidate will be motivated, resilient, and able to work effectively under pressure while meeting tight deadlines. A full, current driving licence and access to their own vehicle (covered by business insurance) will be required, as occasional travel to our other offices is expected.

Department: ICT Department

Hours: 9am – 5.15pm Monday to Friday

Salary: Dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to the development of case management system workflows and database projects.
  • Ensure best practices in software design and coding standards within the development team.
  • Participate from initial planning through to implementation and post-release support.
  • Collaborate on strategic initiatives and act as an advocate for innovative technological solutions, through to planning, designing, and implementing innovative workflows and processes.
  • Analyse existing workflows and drive process optimisation in line with our digital-first approach.
  • Manage and oversee release cycles and deployments, ensuring clear & continuous communication with stakeholders, including incorporating feedback into development efforts.
  • Provide Case Management training and support to end users and/or ICT personnel as required.
  • Assist with the implementation of data warehousing and ETL processes, including data import/export to and from various databases.
  • Work on business intelligence (BI) and management information (MI) reporting projects.
  • Maintain GDPR compliance and implement data protection/governance best practices.

Candidate Profile:

Essential Experience:

  • Computing degree, higher education qualification, or equivalent industry certification.
  • Experience working with legal and case-management systems, including SOS Connect, SOS Practice Manager, Visualfiles, Progress Databases (OpenEdge), and SQL.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience of working in a law firm and/or experience within regulated industries.
  • Experience of working with C#, VB, SQL Server and .NET.
