Role Purpose

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner to join our Wealth Management Team based at our Stamford office. The role involves writing Suitability Reports and processing new and existing business, primarily dealing with Investments and Pensions, with some involvement in Equity Release and Protection business.

Hours & Location

Hours of Work: 9.00 am – 5.15 pm, Monday – Friday (36.25 hours per week). Location: Stamford.

Salary

Salary: Depending upon experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Wealth Management Support Team reporting to the Compliance Manager and Head of Support.
  • Prepare Suitability Reports and process new and existing business in line with Firm policies and procedures using the appropriate templates.
  • Use the Firm\’s case management system and keep it up to date.
  • Ensure business is conducted compliantly and efficiently, in line with FCA regulations and best practice.
  • Prioritise the client’s interests and promote the Firm and profession.
  • Support IFA’s and senior staff with administrative duties and use cash flow modelling tools where appropriate.
  • Liaise with product providers, clients, and industry professionals as required.
  • Prepare annual client reviews as required and undertake project-based work when needed.
  • Co-operate with the Compliance Manager and Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
  • Be prepared to work anti-social hours when necessary to ensure client satisfaction.

Essential / Desirable Qualifications

  • Good GCSE and A Level grades; Diploma or part-qualified financial services qualification.
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle; Chartered status or working towards Chartered status.
  • Degree level education (2:1 or above) in a relevant financial, economic, or law degree would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge and experience in Investments, Pensions, Trusts and IHT planning, Equity Release and Protection.

Skills & Attributes

  • Clear written and verbal communication; structured and organised.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and a case management system; experience with Intelligent Office, FE Analytics, IRESS The Exchange, and cash flow forecasting tools.
  • Discretion, diplomacy, confidentiality, flexibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
  • Genuine interest in financial services and willingness to adapt to the needs of the Firm.
