The Opportunity
The London Commercial Building Consultancy team is growing and wants a Chartered Senior Building Surveyor. You’d run your own instructions across the full property lifecycle, from pre-acquisition technical due diligence through to project delivery and dilapidations, for a blue-chip client base. You’d do this alongside some of the most respected building consultants in the market.
The Role
- Lead professional building surveying instructions: technical due diligence, pre-acquisition surveys, dilapidations, landlord and tenant, and party wall work
- Run projects end to end as project manager and contract administrator under JCT
- Prepare specifications, schedules of condition, defect reports, building pathology assessments and reinstatement cost assessments
- Own and grow client relationships, win new instructions and cross-sell with colleagues across the wider business
- Mentor junior surveyors and graduates, and share technical best practice
Candidate Expectations
- MRICS, with a strong commercial building surveying background
- Solid experience across landlord and tenant work, dilapidations, technical due diligence and project work
- Working knowledge of JCT contracts
- Sharp report writing and confident client communication
- A commercial, client-first approach and the ability to juggle multiple instructions
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members
