Chatterbug Speech & Language Therapy

Chatterbug is an innovative Social Enterprise providing high-quality, evidence-based Speech and Language Therapy services across the UK.

Our mission is to create a positive, lasting impact for children, families, and communities. We pride ourselves on delivering results that truly make a difference, regardless of a client's background. Our passionate team consists of highly skilled Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) and assistants who put the child at the heart of everything they do.

As a social enterprise, we invest in our people and our community, ensuring that we not only deliver excellent service but also advocate for the needs of those with speech, language, and communication difficulties (SLCN).

Job Purpose

The postholder will deliver effective, evidence-based Speech and Language Therapy within Chatterbug's new Sheffield service, working closely with schools, families and multidisciplinary partners. The role focuses on early identification, proportionate assessment, targeted support and helping education staff build confidence in supporting speech, language and communication needs.

At Chatterbug, you will work with clinicians who are actively pushing standards and raising the bar for Speech and Language Therapy. You will have access to innovative tools, evidence-informed frameworks and emerging approaches that support high-quality practice and measurable outcomes. We expect our therapists to think critically, stay curious and contribute to the ongoing development of the profession, and we provide the environment to do exactly that.

Brief Job Description

You will work as part of a locality-based team and act as a named Link Therapist for schools. You will help identify needs early, carry out proportionate assessment within your competence, deliver individual or group intervention where appropriate, and provide practical advice, modelling and coaching to education staff.

Newly qualified and developing Speech and Language Therapists are welcome to apply. You will receive regular clinical supervision, structured support and clear escalation routes for complex clinical decisions, while contributing to multidisciplinary planning, outcome monitoring and effective specialist handover where required.
